Wade Hawkins

Wade Horton Hawkins, 72, passed from this life on September 23, 2021, in Southaven, MS.
Wade was born on June 28, 1949 in Bruce, MS, to Fred Hawkins and Dorothy Hawkins.

Wade graduated from Bruce High School in 1967 and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University in 1971. He put his college education to use and found a lifelong career with BankcorpSouth. As a generous man, he was known for lending a helping hand whenever he could. Aside from his work life in banking and fiance, he could be found leisurely working in his garden or driving a golf ball down the fairway. However, cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs to precedents over any of his hobbies. Although he has gone to rest in a sacred place free from sickness; Wade will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

Wade is survived by his father Fred Hawkins of Bruce, MS; brother Sammy Joe (Janice) Hawkins, of Bruce, MS; daughter Amy (Patrick) Bacon of Bella Vista, AR; Son Alan Hawkins of Forrest City, AR.

Wade is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Hawkins, and a brother William "Bill" Hawkins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service celebrating the life of Wade will take place on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 1:00 with Bro. Kevin Chrestman, Bro. Darrell Logan, and Bro. Rusty Wise officiating. Johnny Coker, Bill Cook, Michael Cook, Ricky Gregory, Brad Gunter, Justin Hawkins, Mike James, Steve James, and Greg Melvin will carry Wade to rest in Bruce Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made in Wade's name to St. Jude Hospital 501 Saint Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
