Walterine Guthrie Butler

Okolona, MS-Walterine Guthrie Butler, 83, passed this earthly life on Friday, April 13, 2017 at N.M.M.C., Tupelo.  She was born,  September  14, 1934 to the late parents of Robbie Lynn Guthrie and Ethel Pearl Burt Guthrie.   She was a devoted homemaker and lived her life for her family.  She was always a very kind and considerate person to everyone she was in contact with.  She was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Shannon.

Walterine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, J.T. Butler, sisters, Jo Ann Swanks and Betty Golden.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry W. Butler(Melissa), Okolona;  brothers, Roy Guthrie,  Plantersville,  James Guthrie, Baldwin;  grandchildren, Jay Butler(Ginny), Stacey Burgett(Chris), Jeremy Butler(Chelsea),  Eden Grace Kelly;  great grandchildren, Callie Mae Butler, Jacob Butler, Layn Butler and Amara Rogers.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00P.M.. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m.  Monday, April 16, 2018 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating.  Burial will be in Rocky Mount Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carl Bevill, Danny Bevill, Sr., Joseph Bevill, Willie Bevill, Allen Guthrie and Terry Guthrie.
