Calhoun City, Mississippi.
Born Thursday, December 11, 1930 Calhoun County in the Old Town Community to Willie Russell and Maude
Bryant Russell. He was the husband of Hazel Capwell Russell of Pittsboro, MS.
Retired Business Owner of Western Auto in Bruce, MS.
U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II and airplane mechanic.
He was a member of Pittsboro First Baptist Church and Sunday School teacher, a Mason in Antioch Lodge, Ham
radio operator.
Surviving are his wife Hazel Russell of Pittsboro, MS. sons, Mike (Teresa) Russell of Pittsboro, MS and Billy (Dawn)
Russell of Hattiesburg, MS, daughters, Sharon (Jimmy) Bumgart of Derma, MS and Linda Russell (Tom Buttram) Johnson of
Tuscaloosa, AL, sister, Peggy Baker of Vardaman, MS. Grandchildren, Christopher (Susan) Johnson of Fondulac, WI. Hassie (Adam) Peacock, Derma, MS. Jacob Russell of Derma, MS. Tyler Russell of New Orleans, LA., Dalton Russell of Pittsboro, MS. Caitlin (Luke) Buckner of Starkville, MS. and Dustin Russell of Pittsboro, MS. Three Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John A. Russell.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Buford
Usry officiating Bro. Darrell Logan assisting. Burial will be in Pittsboro Cemetery, Pittsboro, MS. with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Johnson, Adam Peacock, Dalton Russell, Dustin Russell, Jacob Russell, Tyler Russell. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Busby, Mallon Henry, James Hill, Melvis McCormick, Van Russell, William Ruth, Bro. James Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Parker Memorial
Funeral Home, Bruce, Mississippi.
