William Jasper Gilder

William Jasper Gilder, Jr. , 75, of Vardaman departed from this life on Monday, January 09, 2023 at his home in Vardaman, MS. He was born on August 16, 1947 in Vardaman to the late William Jasper Gilder and Sharon Lowe Gilder.

William was a graduate of Vardaman High School class of 1965. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1970. William was a private airplane pilot, and also a airplane mechanic. He was a EMT for N.M.M.C. until his retirement. William was a member of First Baptist Church Vardaman.

He is survived by his three sisters, Wilma Gilder of Vardaman; Cheryl Gilder of Vardaman; Annelle Scott of Vardaman.

William is preceded in death by his parents, William Jasper Gilder and Sharon Lowe Gilder; sister, Karen Jeanne Harrelson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman. The funeral service honoring William’s life will take place on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman with Bro. Whitt Casey officiating. Nathan Fugett, Mark Harrelson, Will Harrelson, Jay Scott, Ken Scott, and Brandon Taylor will carry William to rest in Midway Cemetery.
