William Lewis Jackson, 81, born in Yalobusha County, Mississippi passed away on August 16, 2021. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after suffering multiple age related strokes.
William graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in mathematics and went on to become an engineer in the aerospace industry. He eventually retired in 2017 from Honeywell after working there for over 30 years. In his spare time he loved walking/hiking outdoors, spending time with his grandson and reading. He was a long-time member of the congregation at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church, and an active member of the Scottsdale Sea & Ski Club. William was a kind and gentle man with a large number of friends, he will always be remembered for his friendly handshake and warm smile.
He is survived by his two sisters Lynn Gilbert and Ann Roberts, as well as his son and grandson Kevin and Ryan Jackson.
A funeral service remembering William's life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 28, 2021, in the sanctuary of Old Field Church with Bro. Craig McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Old Field cemetery.
