William Michael "Mike" Hensley

Bruce, MS-William Michael “Mike” Hensley, 59, passed this earthly life, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford, after a brief illness. He was born, January 21, 1959 in Memphis , Tennessee.  Mike was a graduate of Bruce High School Class of 1977 and a member of Westside Baptist Church.  He had previously been employed with Caterpillar of Oxford for over 10 years  and recently had been working at Affordable Furniture as a forklift operator.  Mike was an avid golfer, Ole Miss Sports Fan and a fisherman.  If Mike was not working, golfing or following Ole Miss Sports, he enjoyed spending time with his family and seeking antique shops, following dirt stock car races and time in the mountains especially Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Mike was a supporter and active member of the Bruce Fire Department for over 25 years of service to the town and community that he served with great pride .

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Evelyn Moorhead Hensley.

Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine Langkawel Hensley, Bruce; daughter, Jenna Hillhouse (Jeremy), Water Valley; son, Brad Hensley (Jessica), Pontotoc; step daughter, LeAnn Robertson (Chris), Hot Springs, Ar; step son, Hayden Harbour (Lisa), Bruce; father, William R. “Chick” Hensley, Bruce; sister, Penny Mask, Pontotoc; two grandchildren, Steve Hillhouse, Kinsley Robertson and five step grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating in the service.  Burial will be in Memory Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Chrestman, David Collums, Sean Dobbs, Hayden Harbour, Brad Hensley, Jeremy Hillhouse, Cody Langkawel, Chad Langkawel and Larry Langkawel.
