William Dale Morris

William Dale Morris, 72, passed away on April 3, 2022, in Calhoun City, MS.

Dale was born on February 5, 1950, in Vardaman, MS, to the late Thomas and Mildred Morris.

He served in the National Guard from 1969-1970 and spent the rest of his career as a truck driver.

He was married to Myrtle Morris and the couple had 2 children.

Dale is survived by his wife Myrtle Morris, of Calhoun City; daughter Rhonda (Kevin) Henry, of Houlka; grandchildren: David (Courtney) Hood Jr.,  Matthew (Bethany) Harrison, Chris (Jessica) Harrison, Paige Dunaway, and Brittany Brassfield; thirteen great-grandchildren; and sister Joyce Hughes of Coffeeville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mildred Morris, daughter Teresa Graham, and brother Thomas "Goose" Morris.

The visitation for Dale will be on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service for will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Bro. Corey Clark officiating, and assisted by Bro. Keith Burney.

Burial will be at Ellzey Cemetery in Vardaman. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Criddle, Marty Criddle, Johnathan Gaston, Nathan Williams, Karl Jernigan, Marvin Lee Morris, Darren Tedder, and Lee Edward Tedder. Honorary pallbearers are Maverick Hood, Lang Hood, Leland Hood, Mychael Moss, and Keifer Dee Hood.
