Willie Lee Owens

Willie Lee Owens (73) of Regan, TN died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his home. He was born October 21, 1939 in Calhoun Co., MS to Lee Ander and Rosa Talent Owens. He was a retired business man, truck driver, and cattle dealer. He also enjoyed training, riding, and showing walking horses. He was a member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Madia Newman Owens and son Tony Owens of Regan, TN; two daughters, Ramona Owens of Jacksonville FL, Becky (Bob) Cobb of Dyersburg, TN, and son Mike (Nancy) Caruso of Chicago, IL. Six grandchildren; Weslee Partington and his only Great-Grandson Evean Partington of Jacksonville, FL, Ashley Cobb (Josh) Hyatt of Knoxville, TN, Caleb Cobb of Dyersburg, TN, Michael, Matthew, and Marissa Caruso of Chicago, IL. Three sisters; Vannie Ree Parker and Erma Shankle of Calhoun City, Betty (Jerry) Haimes of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; G.W., James Owens, and one infant brother Sherman. Services will be at Parker Funeral Home in Vardamen, MS, at 2 O’clock Tuesday with burial at New Liberty Cemetery in Calhoun Co. Services will be officiated by Bro. John Haimes and Bro. Robert Alexander. Pallbearers will be Dave Shankle, Barry Shankle, Stacey Shankle, Sherman Shankle, Tim Parker, and Marvin Morris, Kenny Adams, Landon Adams.

Visitation will be from noon until the service at 2 PM.
