Wilma Murphree Golden, 90 of Batesville, Mississippi formerly of Bruce, MS died on Saturday, September 20, 2014,
at Her Residence in Batesville, Mississippi.
She was born on August 12, 1924 in Calhoun County, Mississippi, She was a Member of the North Batesville Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. She was a Retired Cosmetologist. She Owned and Operated a Cosmetology Shop and School in Bruce, MS; She served 16 years on the Cosmetology Board for the State of Mississippi and 8 of those years she served as Secretary of the Board.
She was preceded in death by Her Parents: Greenberry and Della Sherman Murphree, Her Husbands: J. T. "Jake" Turner and H. C. Golden, Three Sisters: Ruth Bowles, Vaudie Chrestman, and Maudie Winters, and Three Brothers: Elvis, Ernest, and Ray Murphree.
She is Survived by One Daughter: Betty Smith (Laister) of Clinton, MS, Two Sons: J. T. Turner of Batesville, MS and Tony Turner of Birmingham, AL, Three Step Daughters: Sonia Brasher of Bruce, MS, Nan Ellard of Olive Branch, MS and Jan Butner of Jacksonville, Fl, Eight Grandchildren; Dena Turner, Carrie Hickson, Katie Hickson, John Turner, Leah Holmes, Mary Margaret Turner, Kayla Turner, and Tanya Langford, Seven Step Grandchildren, and Eleven Great Grandchildren and a Host of Step Great Grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Kevin Chrestman officiating and Bro.Darrell Logan Assisting. Burial will follow in Bruce Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
Visitation will be held from12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, September 22, 2014, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, Mississippi.
